West Valley Home Health Care, a Medicare agency located near Salt Lake City, was purchased by a regional health care firm. We provided sell-side representation.

Titan Healthcare Services, a Medicare certified agency in Cincinnati, Ohio sold to a regional home care provider. We provided sell-side representation.

Lighthouse Hospice of Alabama sold to a regional home care and hospice provider. We provided sell-side representation.

Patient Care, Inc., a New Jersey based Medicare/Medicaid provider, was purchased by a large regional home care company for $46 million dollars. We provided advisory services, representing the buyer.

AAT Home Health Care, a Medicare Certified Agency in Oak Brook, Illinois was sold to a local home care provider. We provided sell-side representation.

Care Plus Home Health, a large private duty agency in Bradenton and Sarasota, Florida was sold to a national health care provider. We brokered this transaction.

Nightingale Private Duty Nursing, a premier Florida agency, was recently sold to a local Medicare agency. We provided sell-side representation.

Apex Home Healthcare, a 16MM agency located in Jacksonville, Florida, was sold to a large regional home care provider. We brokered this transaction.

Maxim Home Health Resources divested their home health agencies in Broward and Palm Beach County Florida to a regional home care provider. We provided buy-side representation.

Heritage Homecare Services, a premier private duty agency located in Riverside, California, sold to a large home care provider.

Quality of Life Home Health Care, with Medicare revenues of approximately 10MM, was sold to a regional home care provider. We provded buy-side representation.

Florida First Care D-4, a Medicare agency located in Jacksonville, Florida, was sold to a regional home care provider.

Another agency sold last week.  Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio (pronounced Lan’custer, as I’ve been told Lancaster is in Pennsylvania) sold their Medicare agency to a larger regional home care company.  We brokered the transaction.

And congratulations to Cory Mertz, one of our Dealmakers. He recently closed on Health Resource Solutions, a Medicare agency in Dublin, Ohio and West Valley Home Health Care, a Medicare provider near Salt Lake City, providing sell-side representation in both transactions.

And congratulations to Risa Baker, another Dealmaker. She recently provided sell-side representation in the sale of Hospice of Alabama to a regional homecare and hospice provider.

Sold!! Almost Family, Inc., a Louisville based home health company acquired Patient Care, Inc. for a price of $46 million dollars. We provided advisory services and represented the buyer.

Other sales recently closed: AAT Home Healthcare, a fine Medicare Certified agency in Oak Brook, Illinois. Cory Mertz was the deal-maker on this transaction. Risa Baker handled the sale of both Nightingale Private Duty Nursing and Care Plus Home Health, both premium private duty agencies. Don Cummins brokered the sale of Apex Home Healthcare Services, a $16 million Medicare agency in Jacksonville, Florida.

We recently returned from Ohio’s annual home care conference in Sandusky. Earlier we attended NAHC’s financial conference in Las Vegas. It was an excellent event with over 600 attendees. At both conferences we met with many large companies looking to expand through acquisition.

We were happy to see new and familiar faces at the NAHC conference in Ft. Lauderdale. We hope you had a chance to stop in and check out our new booth. It was well attended, and there was an opportunity to listen to some excellent speakers.

The market for home health care agencies remains strong despite the problems in our economy.

In June we attended the M&A Source conference in Denver, and met with many Private Equity Groups looking to expand through acquisitions. We also brushed up on our skills by taking several courses and attending sessions on mergers & acquisitions. This is a great organization with some of the top intermediaries in the world. m&asource.org.
